Inside Styl-Plus & Ajebo Hustlers’ Outstanding Performance At AMVCA Runway Show
Legendary group, Styl-Plus and famous duo Ajebo Hustlers performed at the first-ever Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards runway show which took place on Sunday, May 8, 2022, the event at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, saw the gathering of the biggest names in the Nigerian fashion and entertainment industry.
The organisers had earlier announced that Styl-Plus was going to perform at the event, courtesy of Pepsi. As the models showed off the Pepsi Street Style collection, the duo sang some of their biggest hits, including Olufunmi, Runaway, Imagine That, and Call My Name.
On the other hand, Ajebo Hustlers’ performance surprised guests as they closed off the fantastic evening that saw three designers walk away with 17 million Naira. They performed a medley of their biggest hits – Pronto, Loyalty and Barawo.
The AMVCA fashion show was the second event from the 8-day lineup of events for the eighth edition of the awards show. It saw Lush Hair ambassadors, Yemi Alade and Denrele Edun take on the runway as models and the reveal of pieces from the nine finalists of the ‘Design For The Stars’ competition. At the end of the event, Obinna Omeruo, Felix Asuquo, and Sophie Chamberlain emerged contest winners and went home with N5 million each. Obinna Omeruo and Sophie Chamberlain also won Pepsi’s mini-competition, earning another N1 million each.
The eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award continues through the rest of the week, with different activities outlined every day till the award ceremony at Eko Hotels on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
