Jos High Court Clears Ex-Gov Jang Of N6.3bn fraud

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, the capital of Plateau State has discharged and acquitted former Governor Jonah Jang of alleged misappropriation of the sum of N6.3 billion belonging to the state.

His discharge and acquittal came to be on Friday, September 2, 2022.

The presiding judge of the court, Justice Christy Dabup, cleared Mr Jang of all 17 count charges levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Jang, 78, who ruled Plateau State between 2007 and 2015, was discharged and acquitted alongside a former cashier in the office of the Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Yusuf Pam.
