Katsina Gov Radda Sustains Injuries In Car Accident
The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, has been hospitalised following injuries he sustained in in car accident on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
The vehicle Governor Rada was travelling in crashed on Daura-Katsina highway, the Katsina State Government said in a statement few hours after the incident.
Spokesperson to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who described the incident as “a minor road accident” in a statement he made available added that the unfortunate development happened while the governor was on official duty.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition. Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern,” the statement further reads.
Confirming the mishap while speaking in Hausa in a short video posted by Mr Mohammed, Governor Radda said he was in good shape, but still undergoing treatment following the crash. He profoundly appreciated his supporters and members of the public for their prayers and good wishes.
