Mustapha Mona Audu, the gubernatorial aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress insists he is focused on becoming the next governor of Kogi state.

The son of former Governor Abubakar Audu made the declaration in the face of talks that he is under pressure to step down for another candidate.

The aspirant popularly called Mona in a chat disclosed that ‘’there is nothing of such. I am focused on actualizing my ambition’’.

The aspirants disclosed that he is actually getting more support rather than pressure to step down.

Also speaking on the emerging talks of ‘’pressure to step down’ Kwanashie Ozotu Yahuzas, the campaign D.G (Director General) of the Prince Mustapha Mona Audu (PMMA) for Governor Campaign asserted that ‘’It all propaganda and we tell our supporters to ignore it.

‘’ We do not believe in Propaganda, we believe every candidate should go to the field and sell their manifestos to the people and; that is what we are doing and we believe that victory is certain.

“God willing, together in January 2020, we shall celebrate in Lugard House’’.

The investigation conducted revealed that riding high on the political structure of his late father – and widespread disenchantment with the incumbent governor, especially by government workers in Kogi state -, Mona Mustapha Audu has emerged a major contender for the governorship seat.

‘’Talks of enjoying the support of major players in the Presidency and key national leaders of the party are also giving Prince Mona huge mileage in the raging gubernatorial fight’’ source stated.
