Kunle Adegoke Tells How Tinubu Aided Gov Adeleke’s Performance

Prominent legal luminary and frontline APC gubernatorial aspirant in OSUN 2026 race, Kunle Adegoke, SAN, popularly known as K-Rad, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be rightfully credited with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s much-touted developmental strides in Osun State.

Addressing a gathering of political and APC stakeholders, women, and youth leaders from Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Areas at his campaign headquarters in the Alekuwodo area of Osogbo at the weekend, Adegoke noted that the seeming success story of many state governors including Osun is largely a result of the bold economic reforms championed by President Tinubu.

“Before President Tinubu assumed office, many states were teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. However, following his decisive moves to remove the petrol subsidy and implement the floating of the foreign exchange rate, the Federal Government’s revenue base significantly expanded,” Adegoke said.

He emphasised that this fiscal boost has translated to increased federal allocations to states, empowering them to fulfill their obligations to citizens. “States are now paying salaries promptly, clearing backlogs of pension arrears, and settling long-standing debts, achievements that were almost impossible before the Tinubu administration’s reforms.”

Adegoke maintained that the highly publicised ‘performance’ of Governor Adeleke is not merely the outcome of local governance, but a direct benefit of the federal policies introduced by President Tinubu. He added that many governors can now embark on huge infrastructural projects and some engage in rentier governance because of the financial headroom created by the federal economic agenda.

“In fairness, the man who deserves credit for the so-called transformation in Osun and other states is President Bola Tinubu. His bold, strategic leadership has unlocked financial resources and stability that are now being used by states to meet public expectations,” he concluded.

K-Rad’s remarks come as political discussions intensify across Osun State in the lead-up to a new wave of civic engagement and alignment.

He promised to make the state self-reliant economically by generating huge earnings from agriculture and industrialization if voted as the chief executive officer of the state .
