A prominent member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce has described the under construction Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as symbol of hope for a brighter future.
The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, a 700km road project, is a Milestone undertaking embarked on by the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Mr Murray-Bruce, who the founder of Silverbird Group, said this in a video shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi insisted the project is not a reflection of the needs of Nigerians at this period.
But acknowledging the economic value the N13 trillion project, Murray-Bruce maintained the highway will transform a “symbol of hope for a brighter future” on completion.
Speaking further on the project that enjoys backing of governors of Edo, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa and Cross River states, the founder of Silverbird Group insisted it is a “proof of the transformative power of visionary leadership by President Bola Tinubu.”
He went on to say, “this highway will slash travel times, reduce transportation costs and increase access to markets and resources… a game changer for investors, entrepreneurs and travellers.”
Bruce who tagged those opposing the project as disgruntled individuals, said “such enemies of progress should not ply the road when it is completed and stick to the old, long and treacherous routes.”
