“Laughable Rumour” Gov Akeredolu Speaks On Meeting Judges In Abuja Ahead Appeal Court Judgement

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Aketi, SAN, has described the rumours making the round that he was in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, to meet with some judges ahead of the Appeal Court judgment on the petition rising from the October 10, 2020 governorship election as laughable.

Governor Akeredolu, who expressed surprise at the fertility of the rumour mill, explained that he had to connect Akwa-Ibom from Abuja because Ibom Air does not fly Akure-Uyo route.

The Governor spoke in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom state capital, at the Annual Conference of the Section on Legal Practice of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA-SLP) held at the Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort.

He said: “This rumour mill is so fertile. I only got to Abuja because Ibom Air will not fly from Akure. I had to fly to Abuja to get here. I got here not stopping anywhere but I am said to be in Abuja now meeting with justices who want to give judgement .”
