“”Let’s Work For Prosperous Nigeria” – Reps Member Wole Oke Urges In Easter Message To Christians
The Honourable Member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, has extended warm greetings to Christian faithful in the Ijesa North Federal Constituency and beyond on the occasion of Good Friday.
Speaking in Abuja, Hon. Oke described Good Friday as a significant day in Christendom that symbolises sacrifice, love, and redemption.
He urged Christians to reflect deeply on the lessons of Good Friday and to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ, whose death on the cross remains a cornerstone of the Christian faith. “This sacred occasion calls us to embrace the virtues of sacrifice and unity exemplified by Christ,” Hon. Oke said.
“Good Friday should inspire believers to uphold peace, forgiveness, and unity in their communities. This moment calls us to imbibe spiritual renewal, compassion, and collective responsibility towards building a better society.” Hon. Wole posited.
Also, while addressing the press, MP Oluwole Oke used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment.
“I reaffirm my commitment to the development and progress of the Ijesa North Federal Constituency. I will continue to do all within my purview to advance legislative interventions that will improve the lives of the constituents,” Hon. Wole Oke assured.
While wishing Christians a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Good Friday celebration, Hon. Oke called on all citizens to continue to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.
Good Friday stands as a call to action for all to live out the principles of love, sacrifice, and unity—values that are at the heart of Christ’s teachings and essential for national progress.
“Let us use this sacred occasion to renew our faith and work together for a harmonious and prosperous nation,” he concluded.
