Mompha Arrested Again
Instagram celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha popularly known as Mompha, has been arrested again.
His arrest was effected today, Monday January 10, 2022 by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
A post via the commission’s Facebook page revealed he was taken into custody over allegations of “laundering funds obtained through unlawful activities and retention of alleged proceeds of crime”.
Mr Mustapha alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, is already standing trial on an amended twenty two-count charge bordering on cyber fraud and money laundering to the tune of N32.9bn (Thirty-two Billion Nine Hundred Thousand Naira).
The charges were brought against him by the EFCC.
