MTN Foundation Scholarship, Alumni Induction Hold In Lagos & Enugu Oct 29

The MTN Foundation is set to host the 2025 edition of its annual Scholarship Award Ceremony and Alumni Induction, with events taking place simultaneously in Enugu and Lagos on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and concluding in Abuja on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

This special occasion celebrates both the outstanding students newly admitted into the scholarship scheme and the formal induction of graduating scholars into the prestigious MTN Scholarship Alumni community.

Since its inception, the MTN Foundation Scholarship Programme has symbolised MTN Nigeria’s dedication to youth empowerment, academic excellence, and human capital development. The scholarship provides an annual grant of ₦300,000 per scholar, renewable throughout their course of study, provided they meet the established renewal criteria. This initiative opens doors of opportunity for thousands of bright young Nigerians, empowering them to pursue their academic dreams and contribute meaningfully to society. Over the years, the programme has awarded more than 14,728 scholarships, representing an investment of over ₦3 billion in Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.

This year’s award ceremony will highlight the achievements of both new and existing scholars, as well as the growth of the MTN Scholarship Alumni community, an influential network of young professionals actively shaping industries and communities across the country. The Alumni Induction is a momentous rite of passage that connects graduating scholars to a broader ecosystem of peers, mentors, and opportunities.

Speaking of this year’s award ceremony, Odunayo Sanya, Executive Director of the MTN Foundation, said, “Education is the backbone of national development, and at MTN Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that no bright mind is left behind due to financial constraints. This scholarship is not just about funding education; it is about investing in Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers.”

The MTN Foundation remains firmly committed to building a pipeline of future leaders and innovators, playing a vital role in shaping Nigeria’s knowledge economy and empowering the next generation to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market.
