Nigerian Luxury Home Developer Sujimoto Wanted By EFCC

Luxury home developer and Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Group, Sijibomi Ogundele, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He was declared a person of interest by the anti-corruption agency in a post via its official social media handle on Friday September 5, 2025.

Mr Ogundele’s sin was described as alleged diversion of funds and money laundering.

The 44-year-old Lagos-based businessman leads Sujimoto Group, known for high-end residential projects in Ikoyi, Banana Island, and Abuja, including Medici, GiulianoBySujimoto, Lucrezia De Medici Tower, and Leonardo Highrise.

Speaking on the development in video he shared online, Ogundele revealed the case to be a contractual dispute, maintaining he’s to surrender himself and cooperate with the EFCC to clarify the situation.
