The governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has described as untrue a report that the new coronavirus case in the state is a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, Mr Akeredolu maintained the just infected individual was an ex-corps member in the health facility where the index case in the state was discovered.

The governor’s post reads…

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed another case of #Covid_19 in Ondo State. The reported case is a close contact of the index case who was also put in isolation but was tested once they began to display symptoms.
