Otega Ogra Lauds Tinubu, Gov Alia’s Interventions, Says Benue Is “On The Rise Again”

Otega Ogra, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, has affirmed that Benue State is truly on the rise again.

He made the remarks via his X handle (formerly Twitter) after a project inspection tour of the North-Central State.

The premise for his stand is straightforward: Governor Hyacinth Alia, despite the challenges of overseeing Benue, has chosen to embark on projects that are transforming the state and its people.

All these are thanks to the collaboration between the President Bola Tinubu-led administration and the Gov. Alia-led Benue State Government. This partnership has led to the revival of inter- and intra-state roads, agro-processing plants, circular economies, moribund factories, water processing plants, schools, and hospitals, Ogra pointed out.

He affirmatively declared: “After decades of neglect, things seem to be on the rise again in Benue.”
“But, like President Tinubu reiterates almost every time, more still needs to be done. The reward for hard work is more work, and the ultimate beneficiaries will be the Benue people, and Nigeria as a whole!” Ogra added.

The presidential aide concluded the piece, titled “Benue was indeed an eye-opener,” with testimonies from citizens.
“From the Benue citizens I spoke to, many were happy that they can move their produce faster and more efficiently from farms to markets and cities,” Ogra stated. “Pregnant women now have better access to primary maternal healthcare; more qualified teachers now have jobs across primary to secondary schools; there are active out-grower schemes to ensure inputs for agro-processors; and many others.”
