Oyetola Threatened By Aregbesola’s Latest Moves

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola is said to be unhappy at the moment.

The reason for this is straightforward, the control he has on Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is gradually slipping away from him.

And said to be responsible for the development is the latest moves made by Rauf Aregbesola, his predecessor and former Minister of Interior in the past administration of Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Aregbesola launched “Omoluabi Caucus”, a new political group within APC in Osun sometime last year with its followers increasing by the day to put in a comfortable position to rival the leadership of Oyetola.

Oyetola’s cabinet position in the government of President Bola Tinubu affirmed him as the number one person as far as Osun APC is concerned, highstreet.ng understands.

The position, right now, appears threatened with the newest political moves by Aregbesola – the man he served in his government as Chief of Staff before succeeding him as the governor of Osun State, highstreet.ng learnt.

He is reported to be particularly troubled by the actions of his fellow party man and predecessor, who has gone ahead to inaugurate excos of his newly launched group, will further divide the party and by extension weaken his grip.
