Polaris Bank Wins Double At 2025 BAFI Awards, Retains Digital Banking Crown

Polaris Bank has reaffirmed its dominance in Nigeria’s digital banking landscape, winning both the ‘Digital Bank of the Year’ and ‘Best Bank for MSMEs’ awards at the 2025 BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards at the weekend in Lagos. This milestone marks the fifth consecutive year the Bank has been named “Digital Bank of the Year” — a testament to its innovation-driven leadership and customer trust.

Polaris Bank continues to redefine digital banking through technology-led innovation, customer-centric products, and inclusive financial solutions that empower individuals and businesses. Its flagship digital platform, VULTe, remains the heartbeat of this transformation, enabling millions of Nigerians to bank, save, borrow, and grow their finances seamlessly.

The upgraded VULTe 3.0 now integrates AI-powered tools that personalize user experience and automate engagement, reinforcing Polaris Bank’s position as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s digital economy. “This award is a celebration of our customers, whose trust and engagement inspire every innovation we create,” said Dele Adeyinka, Chief Digital Officer of Polaris Bank. “VULTe is more than a platform; it is a community of empowered users who bank and grow with ease.”

Polaris Bank’s recognition as “Best Bank for MSMEs” reflects its strong support for Nigeria’s small business ecosystem. In 2025, the Bank launched targeted funding initiatives in partnership with Woodhall Capital (UK), Lagos State Government, and the British Government to empower professionals in the creative industry and expand financing to women-led enterprises across key sectors like education and fashion.

Through its ‘VULTe for Business’ platform, the Bank offers simplified credit assessments and quick access to working capital, removing traditional bottlenecks for SMEs. These interventions are helping transform small enterprises into thriving businesses, driving inclusive growth and gender empowerment nationwide.

It validates our belief that true innovation begins and ends with the customer. These awards belong to our customers, our people, and every partner who believes in our vision.”

As one of Nigeria’s most digitally advanced and customer-focused financial institutions, Polaris Bank continues to invest in cutting-edge infrastructure and data-driven innovation. With its AI-powered ecosystem and commitment to inclusion, the Bank is not just adapting to the digital era—it is defining it.
