Presidential Aide Otega Ogra Tells Why Govt Must Safeguard Digital Space

The Senior Special Assistant on Digital/New Media to President Bola Tinubu, Otega Ogra, has highlighted that it is the Nigerian Government’s responsibility to safeguard the space.

Ogra, who spoke on Channels Television’s discussion programme, Newsnight, insisted that the government is duty-bound to make appropriate laws that would, in turn, promote healthy discourse, prevent misinformation, and ensure social media remains a tool for progress rather than a threat to national stability.

Below is the visual of the interview where he further dubbed the current situation as a “clear and present danger”.
