Reps Member Wole Oke Not Dumping PDP – Insiders Insist

Popular lawmaker Oluwole Oke is not leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), those who have unfettered access to him just told highstreet.ng.

They Insisted that insinuations the federal lawmaker with reputation of providing over 1,000 jobs in his constituency and beyond, was on his way to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are a mere figment of the imaginations of those who found his political pedigree intimidating.

Oke is the House of Representatives member representing the people of Oriade/Obokun federal constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

Talks of his imminent movement to the Ruling All Progressives Congress had gained traction in the last couple of days following his cryptic social media comments over happenings in Osun State.

But those in his camp have dismissed the claims as unfounded.

Osun State, with PDP as the ruling party and Senator Ademola Adeleke as Governor, has been engulfed in crisis courtesy of a purported court judgment that reinstated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidates that emerged from the “Yes or No” Local Government election conducted by the last administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Interestingly, the former governor Oyetola now minister in the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu’s government, conducted the after he lost his reelection bid in 2022.

“They only misinterpreted his recent comment to mean he has a thing for the APC”, sources who maintained nothing of such was in the offing disclosed.

“They actually got it all wrong. For BOO, a honourable Oke is fondly called, leaving the PDP is not on the card. And for the people to think he’s considering dumping the PDP shows they lack understanding of his facebook comments. Oke is not a politician who would leave the party he has been part of since its inception. He has contested and won elections on the party’s platform 5 times. Even when an APC governor was in power”, an insider clarified.
