Emerging details have it that a fresh plot is brewing against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
And the aim is to hit hard at his grassroots appeal by taking on his known loyalists and associates.
Details available to societynow.ng revealed that the plot which is said to be afoot is geared towards hitting hard at the influential politicians by “discrediting” those close to him.
“Stuff targeting the reputations and integrity of Asiwaju’s men will be unleashed but it won’t be an elitist thing, it will be a grassroots initiative that is meant to transform into major issues” societynow.ng learned.
Societynow.ng gathered that the plot is part of moves to dwindle the appeal of the popular politician ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
“The thinking is that by hitting at his loyalists the attendant after effect would rub off on Tinubu as the principal and diminish his appeal and reach ahead of the election” societynow.ng learned.
Tinubu is one of the known names being thrown up as a strong contender for the 2023 presidential election but the powerful politician insists his immediate objective is to help his party, All Progressives Congress and President Muhammadu Buhari deliver on electoral promises that gave them power.
The Buhari administration is grappling with economic and security issues which are eroding the mass appeal that brought his government to power.
