Revealed! Party Top Guns Championing Ojokoro Council Boss Hameed Tijani’s Re-election

The re-election of Hameed Idowu Tijani, the incumbent executive chairman and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the fast-approaching chairmanship election in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area is as good as a done deal, information available to highstreet.ng has revealed.

And those who are familiar with how things play out as far as politics of the council is concerned have premised this assertion on the quality of party men championing his reelection bid.

HID as Hameed Tijani who assumed office as chairman on July 23, 2017, is commonly known, won the party ticket to run for another term at the party primaries held on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

The local government election, according Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), holds on July 24, 2021.

Revealed as backers of the graduate of Business Administration from Lagos State University who many have aptly described as intelligent, humble, responsive, and accessible with core knowledge of grassroots politics are serving and former political office holders from the local government and beyond.

House of Representatives member, James Owolabi and state lawmaker, Rasheed Makinde are topping the list of politicians of influence rooting for his cause, highstreet.ng understands.

Barr R.A Baruwa, a former Commissioner for Agriculture & Cooperatives and Engr. Akinyemi Beckley, the then Chairman, Lagos State Electricity Board is revealed to also enjoy the backing of the likes of Hon Ipoola Omisore, a former member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Benjamin Olabinjo an ex-council boss who later served in the cabinet of former governor Ambode and Alhaji Mohammed Adelaja.
