The Covid-19 patient who absconded from Isolation Centre in Ejigbo, Osun state has been apprehended.

Osun State Commissioner for Information, Funke Egbemode made the disclosure via a Facebook post.

Egbemode’s post reads…

The State Government of Osun hereby announces that it has found the only person who could not be accounted for during the routine headcount at the Isolation centre in Ejigbo earlier today.

The State Government can now confirm that the woman has been returned to the isolation centre, while a Special Task Force is in the process of tracing individuals she might have come in contact with during her time outside the Isolation centre.

Given this development, the government has upscaled security within and around the Isolation centre to forestall a repeat occurrence.

The State Government hereby assures the citizens of Osun that it will continue to enhance measures to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in the State.
