Sanwo-Olu Announces Total Ban On Okada In 6 Lagos LGAs

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced total ban on operations of motorcycle, popularly known as okada, in parts of the state.

He made the pronouncement on Wednesday, April, 12 2022.

Mr Governor specifically stated that activities of motorcycle riders are prohibited in six of the 20 local government area in the State.

According to him, the order takes effect from June 1, 2022.

The affected Local government areas are Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland and Apapa.
