Seyi Makinde Is The Winner Of Oyo Guber Election, INEC Declares

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent governor of Oyo State and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluseyi Makinde, as the winner of Oyo state governorship election.

The governorship election was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Mr. Makinde polled 563,756 votes to defeat Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord Party.

Senator Folarin and Adelabu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, scored 256,685 votes and 38,357 votes respectively.
