Speaker Oborevwori Is PDP Guber Candidate In Delta, Supreme Court Rules
Sherrif Oborevwori is the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta state, the supreme court has ruled.
Mr Oborevwori is the speaker of house of assembly in State.
in its ruling today October 21, 2022, a five-member panel of the apex court, led by Amina Augie, upheld the decision of the Abuja court of appeal which confirmed Mr Oborevwori as the duly elected candidate of the PDP.
Oborevwori who enjoys the backing of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, polled 590 votes to defeat David Edevbie, the commissioner for finance in the past administration of James Ibori, who scored 113 votes.
