Stop Demarketing Your State – Gov Diri Urges Bayelsans

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has called on the people of the state to continue to be patriotic towards the development of the state.

Governor Diri made the call during the 168 Executive council meeting in Government House Yenagoa attended by the Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and other members of the exco.

His words: “Whoever takes over from us will now build from where we have stopped, the same way we took over and started building from where the previous administration stopped, and that is the only way our state can grow.”

The story we want to hear is about the progress and development of this state and not those who peddle rumors, do negativity. How could people who call themselves Bayelsans be demarketing your own state, demarketing your father and your mother”, Gov. Diri stated.

“Let us all create a Bayelsa State that would be competitive with any other state in the comity of states, a state that we will be proud to hand over to our children, a state that will be peaceful at all times that others will also travel in here for tourism, travel in here to eke out a living. That’s the kind of state you and I are building and we must continue to be patriotic about our state and indeed our country”, he stated.
