Supreme Court Throws Out APC’s Forgery Suit Against Gov Obaseki

The supreme Court has thrown out the forgery suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.

The suit was dismissed today, May 28, 2021, for lack of merit.

The apex court judgment which upheld earlier ruling by the Court of Appeal that Mr Godwin Obaseki did not forge his certificates with which he contested the 2020 governorship election was delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim.

Justice Emmanuel Agim reportedly held that the appellant failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was the candidate of the APC at the gubernatorial poll.
