Nollywood’s darling actor, Timini Egbuson, is on a roll!

Barely a month ago, he won the prestigious AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award) award for ‘Best Actor in a Drama’ for his outstanding performance in Elevator Baby.

Timini is also well known for playing lover boy Mohammed in the Skinny Girl in Transit web series, and also playing Tobi in the popular MTV Shuga series.

He’ll be gracing our screens with his charm and acting magic on the new season MTV Shuga series titled, “Alone Together”.

MTV Staying Alive Foundation recently announced the new mini-series which is produced in partnership with the United Nations’ Every Woman Every Child Partnership and Unitaid: Supporting Innovation for Global Health, Viacom CBS Africa, and MTV International.

Timini Egbuson will be starring alongside other MTV Shuga actors from other African countries like Nick Mutuma (Leo), Tomiwa Tegbe (Wasiu), Jemima Osunde (Leila), Lerato Walaza (Zamo), Ange Eric N’Guessan (Daniel), and several other notable characters.

MTV Shuga: Alone Together will be set in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Cote D’Ivoire and will portray how people in these countries are coping with the lockdown.

It will use pop culture and relatable storylines to educate viewers on information necessary to flatten the COVID-19 curve and depict other important topics like the increased danger of mental health challenges and domestic violence in the midst of a national lockdown.

Fun Fact

Timini Egbuson and all other actors in MTV Shuga: Alone Together, will be self-filming their scenes! We can’t wait to see how they’ll pull that off.
