Tinubu Hails Sahara Power Group’s Kola Adesina As He Bags Honorary PhD

President Bola Tinubu extends heartfelt congratulations to the Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group, Mr Kolawole Adesina, on the conferment on him of an Honourary Doctorate Degree by the University of Lagos.

Adesina will receive the prestigious degree at the institution’s 55th Convocation Ceremonies.

In a congratulatory letter he personally signed, President Bola Tinubu praised Adesina for his significant contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector and described the honourary degree as a recognition of his commitment to advancing national development.

“Your visionary leadership at Sahara Power Group has been transformative, ensuring sustainable power solutions and inspiring professionals across the energy sector to pursue excellence. This honorary degree is a well-deserved acknowledgement of your tireless efforts to elevate engineering standards and drive innovation in Nigeria,” President Bola Tinubu remarked.

The President commended Adesina for his dedication to fostering transformational change both within Nigeria and the global community.

Further highlighting the importance of the honour, President Bola Tinubu stated, “The conferment of this honourary degree underscores the pivotal role you play in shaping Nigeria’s energy future and inspiring the next generation of leaders.”

The President urged Adesina to continue to be a shining example of hope, innovation, and inspiration, noting that his contributions would remain indelible and deeply appreciated by the government and the people of Nigeria.
