VC Tells Benefits Of ASR Africa’s Donation Of Hotel Block To FUT Minna

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta has highlighted benefits of Hotel block the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative is erecting at the institution of learning.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed hostel facility expected to house “108 students with other auxiliary facilities such as laundries, kitchenettes, common rooms, and the warden’s room” was held Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Speaking at the commencement of the construction of the building project, the Vice Chancellor disclosed how happy he was for having the citadel of learning as one of the beneficiaries of the ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant Scheme.

Pointing out major benefits of ASR Africa’s donation, Prof Kuta who conveyed the University’s appreciation to the Chairman of ASR Africa and the BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, maintained that on completion, the facility will ensure a good number of students will have access to hostel accommodation and at the same time reduce the number of students that are exposed to insecurity as well as other vices associated with residing outside the university campus.
