Veteran Nollywood Actor Ogogo Dies at 66

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has passed away.

He died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage 4 cancer.

His daughter, Kira (Kaira) Taiwo, confirmed his demise during a tearful live session on her Instagram page.

This unfortunate news comes just days after Kira and her sister, Lima, went online on Monday, August 17, 2026, to seek urgent medical advice and assistance, revealing that their father was battling advanced-stage cancer.

Tributes have since been pouring in from fans and industry colleagues for the late Yoruba film icon.
