Wasiu Ayinde Disowns Aide Over Disparaging Comments Against FIBAN On BBC Radio Program

Fuji music maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal has disowned one of his aides over a denigrating statement made against the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN).

The said aide made the statement during an interview on BBC Yoruba Radio program.

In a communication signed by his media adviser, Mr Kunle Rasheed and dated October 5, 2020, the king of Fuji music maintained “the utterances of the aide during the interview does not in any way,  represent his views, mindset or  that of his organisation.”

The king of Fuji music, Wasiu Olasunkanmi Marshal K1, on Monday, distanced himself from comments made by one of his aides on a radio program. 

The aide reportedly granted an interview to the BBC Yoruba service on the face-off between the Fuji maestro and a broadcaster,  Wole Sorunke(MC Murphy), on Sunday,  where he made disparaging statements against the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria,  FIBAN. 

K1  said the utterances of the aide during the interview does not in any way,  represent his views, mindset or  that of his organisation. 

K1 did not in anyway authorized  any such utterances. “K1 wishes to distance himself from the verbal abuse of FIBAN. K1 also wishes to reiterate his respect and partnership with FIBAN and indeed all media practitioners, many of whom are his close friends”.
