Osun state chapter of Social Democratic Party (SDP) has praised the executive governor of Osun State Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for appointing two of its members into the state executive council.

Governor Oyetola inaugurated the state cabinet and assigned portfolios to his Commissioners and Special Advisers on Thursday October 24, 2019.

The two SDP stalwarts handed cabinet positions are Taiwo Akeju (Commissioner for Political Affairs and Inter-Party Relations) and Azeez Yemi Lawal (Commissioner for Youths and Sports).

In a statement released by Osun State SDP on Friday October 25 and signed by its chairman Dr Sola Oladehinde the opposition party also said it has confidence in the government of Governor Oyetola and task him to continue running a people oriented administration.

“We commend governor Oyetola for the hand of friendship he has extended to us. We have confidence in his ability to move our dear state forward. And from his actions since he took over the mantle of leadership as governor you will realise he is truly here to run a people oriented government”, Oladehinde said.

“These appointments is a confirmation the governor is truly committed to the alliance our party has with the ruling All Progressives Congress”, he stated further.

Oladehinde equally advised all the newly sworn in commissioners to always see their appointments as opportunity to work for the good of the state and ensure that the developmental agenda of the Governor Oyetola’s administration is seamlessly achieved.
