What BHM Group CEO, Ayeni Adekunle Spoke On At Calabar Entertainment Conference

CEO and Founder of Africa’s foremost communications company, BHM Group, Ayeni Adekunle will speak at the 6th edition of the Calabar Entertainment Conference (CEC) on Friday, October 7, 2022.

The conference with the theme “Discover, Define, Rebrand” will explore conversations around discovering and harnessing local talents within the region, why artistes and creatives need to carve a niche for themselves and how professionals in the entertainment industry can stay relevant through consistent brand innovation.

The renowned PR practitioner and convener of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) will be making an appearance at the CEC as a special guest. Other speakers billed to appear at the conference include Seasoned OAP and Media consultant, Olisa Adibua; ICT Expert and Tech Enthusiast, John Ugbe; Event Consultant, Edi Lawani, Entertainment Journalist, Joey Akan; Brand Strategist, Dr Tochukwu Macfoy; Veteran Broadcaster, Ryan Verneuille (USA).

Ayeni is a Nigerian entrepreneur and consultant with interests in public relations, advertising, media innovation, Human capital development, technology, and entertainment. Ayeni started his career as a journalist spending over 10 years in the field before founding BHM in November 2006. The company currently serves a wide range of high-end clientele spread across different sectors including FMCGs, Telecommunication, and Media Services.

Speaking ahead of the event, the award-winning entrepreneur said “every opportunity to rub minds with colleagues in the industry is one I always look forward to because the benefits are endless. The CEC is a brainchild of Calabar’s Premiere Urban Radio station, Hit 95.9 FM and is poised as the biggest entertainment conference in the south-south region of Nigeria. The conference has played host to notable names like award-winning musician, TuBaba; veteran disc jockey, Dj Jimmy Jatt; former General Manager, Sony Music West Africa, Micheal Ugwu; Media Expert, Olisa Adibua; Events Specialist, Edi Lawani; Eccentric TV/Event Host, Denrele Edun in past editions.

The gathering has since its inception in 2016 been throwing up some of the biggest issues facing artists and professionals working in the entertainment industry both locally and within the region. This year’s edition will be held at the Main Bowl of the Cultural Centre Complex in Calabar, Cross River State and audiences will be able to follow the conversation live on Hit 95.9 FM social media pages.
