Why Former Reps Deputy Speaker Lasun Yusuf Is Not Outrightly Sad About Attack On His Office In Osun
Lasun Sulaimon Yusuf, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, still has every reason to be grateful to his maker after the attack he just suffered.
And the fact that his big-money hospitality haven, Laim Hotel was spared by the rampaging attackers as responsible for his state of mind, highstreet.ng understands.
One of the properties the former lawmaker uses as office was on Saturday, October 24, 2020, touched by dangerous weapon-wielding hoodlums.
Highstreet.ng pieced together the attacked structure is located in his home town of Ilobu.
Ilobu, a few minutes’ drive from Osogbo the state capital, is the headquarters of Irepodun Local Government Area in Osun State.
Like Mr Yusuf, other elected officials and government appointees suffered similar attacks in different parts of the state.
According to information, the thugs who descended on Mr Yusuf’s office made away with empowerment materials that are worth multimillion naira.
And a yet to be ascertained number of Motorcycles, Grinding machines and sewing machines were listed as among the loss suffered by the former number two man of the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
Investigation conducted by highstreet.ng showed another group of the mob, but this time in Osogbo, the state capital equally considered storming Honourable Lasun Yusuf’s big money hospitality spot, Laim Hotel.
But the few reasonable individuals among them advised otherwise, a source stated.
Laim hotel is located on Hon Lasun Yussuff Crescent, Oroki Industrial Layout, Area of the state capital.
“He was very lucky his big hotel is not attacked. From what I heard he’s thanking God the mob did not visit the place as allegedly planned… We saw them gathering and heard discussing how they will go to the former deputy speaker’s hotel but the reasonable one among convinced them against it”, a source told highstreet.ng.
