Why Wealthy Promoter Of LCC, The Company In Charge Of Lekki Toll Gate, Oluwolafe Is Allegedly Against Asiwaju Tinubu’s Interests
The talks are gaining ground in the top echelon of political and business circles, particularly in Lagos State.
Powerful government contractor and vastly connected businessman Tunji Olowolafe is said to be unhappy with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinbu.
And the level of animosity is said to have transformed into working against the interests of the powerful politician.

Insiders disclosed that Olowolafe who owns Deux Projects Limited and Lekki Concession Company (LCC) in charge of the Lekki Toll Gate and Lekki – Epe Expressway tried to expand his business hold in Lagos state but found it difficult to do so – unlike before.
“Olowolafe particularly wanted his company, LCC to take over the handling of the Ikoyi-Lekki link bridge but the move was rebuffed and he put the blame for this and other missed opportunities in recent time on Asiwaju Tinubu. He believes Tinubu is blocking his business moves” societynow.ng learned.
The information at hand alleged that based on this conviction, Olowolafe has taken position (s) contradicting the interests of Tinubu.
The LCC boss is alleged to have aligned with forces seeking to cage the powerful politician.
Societynow.ng gathered that based on certain “indications” and “links” loyalists of Tinubu see Olowolafe all out for the powerful politician.
This is against the backdrop of claims in several quarters that Olowolafe’s emergence as an economic power in Lagos state has roots in government patronage during the spells of Tinubu as Governor of Lagos state and that of his successor Babatunde Fashola.
“What is not clear is at what point things went awry between Tinubu and Olowolafe, though some claim it was during the stormy fight for Fashola’s second term in office, that Olowolafe pitched his tent with Fashola and things have never been the same between him and Tinubu since then” societynow.ng learned.
Societynow.ng gathered that things have gotten so bad that ardent loyalists of Tinubu believe that Olowolafe has a hand in the ongoing attempt to “demonize” Tinubu and profile him for posterity as anti-people.
This is in the face of talks of 2023 presidential ambition decorating Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
