Work Commences On Minna-Suleja Road Project March 16

Work on the Suleja-Minna road project is expected to commence on Monday, the 16th of March, 2026.

The Minister for Works, David Umahi, disclosed this when the Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, met with him for a follow-up discussion on the proposed project implementation plan for the project.

The minister revealed that funds for mobilisation are readily available, and the contractors should do the needful for immediate access to the funds and move to the site.

He further stated that the road project has been reviewed to be a concrete pavement road instead of asphalt to align with the global standard of road construction.

On the 7 km Maje-Dikko dual carriageway, the minister explained that the project has been concessioned under the NNPC Tax Credit Scheme, and work is expected to commence soon.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago appreciated the minister for his innovation and efforts in ensuring Nigeria’s roads are not only fixed but are also done according to world standards.

He reassured the minister that the Niger State government will continue to provide an enabling environment to ensure smooth execution of all federal road projects in the state.

While also appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the massive infrastructural development across the country under his administration, the farmer governor passionately appealed that efforts should be made to fast-track the Niger State segment of the Lagos–Badagry Super Highway project for the benefit of the people.
