Zamfara Community Hails Troops After Major Victory, Logistics Recovery

Residents of Gummi town in Zamfara State trooped out on thursday,  in large numbers to applaud the gallant troops of Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA as the troops return to base after successful decimination of bandits at Dutsen Gidan Hill, 17 Km outside Gumi Town in Gummi LGA. Demonstrating exceptional tactical superiority, the troops recently neutralized scores of terrorists and recovered dozens of motorcycles previously used to terrorize local communities, transporting the assets back to headquarters on an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC).

The arrival of the troops sparked a spontaneous show of appreciation, with a large crowd gathering at the military base to openly cheer and thank the soldiers for their bravery and sacrifices. This overwhelming display of gratitude reflects growing public confidence in the ongoing military operations across the North West, underscoring the strengthening relationship and mutual trust between local communities and security forces.

Operation FANSAN YAMMA remains resolute in its campaign against banditry, deeply appreciating the continued support and actionable intelligence from the public as it works tirelessly to restore lasting peace to the region.
