2027: First Lady Declares President Tinubu The Chosen One
Oluremi Tinubu has made a positive declaration about the re-election bid of her husband, President Bola Tinubu.
“What the Lord has begun, no man can bring to naught. Come 2027,” the First Lady just declared about the project she holds dearly.
The former senator who represented the people of Lagos Central between 2011 and 2023 made the remarks in a post on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Mrs Tinubu, in her brief message, accompanied with hashtag #Asiwajutill2027 further said: “Nigerians shall discern between the father who laid the foundation of our democracy Politics and the son who merely learns at his feet.”
Re-election seeking president Tinubu has opposition figures like Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi – the two presidential gladiators he trounced in 2023 – to contend with.
Oluremi Tinubu’s comments come amid the emergence of what appears to be a more vibrant opposition party, Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) and grandstanding by its leadership – which includes Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rauf Aregbesola and Nasir El-Rufai – that the Mr President will be limited to a single term.
