Why Hameed Tijani Will Win Ojokoro Council Election – Prince Abimbola Oginni

Prince Abimbola Oginni is a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.

He’s one of the party stalwarts rooting for the incumbent chairman and candidate of his party Hameed Idowu Tijani ahead the coming local government election.

The election holds on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

In a chat today July 16, 2021, Mr Oginni told highstreet.ng reasons why the down-to-earth politician should be reelected for another term of four years and more…

Q: Why should Hon Hameed Tijani be reelected?

A: Thank you. There are numerous reasons why Hon Hameed Tijani should be reelected. He has laid a very solid foundation in terms of infrastructure within OJokoro LCDA. And I believe in the second term he should be able to consolidate on this… to develop Ojokoro to the highest level. Aside from that, he’s a grassroots politician. He understands the terrain of the LCDA… He has the artisans, he has the Obas and the Baales, he has the corporate people, he has the community as a whole giving him the needed support to actualize this… More so his antecedent has proven that he has the capacity and ability to move Ojokoro to the next level.

Q: How long have you known him?

A: I got to Know Hon Hameed TIjani as far back as when we return to democracy… I mean as far back as 1999 in this local government. And since then he has been moving from one office to the other. This tells you the prerequisite and the experience are there to move the LCDA forward.

Q: What kind of politician is Hon Tijani?

A: He has a good personality… That is the number one qualification he has to be in that office. When you are talking of somebody that is cool-headed, easily accessible… He mingles freely with everybody… He doesn’t look down on people. He’s a political office holder who does not screen calls. There is no time you will call him that he will not pick. And if he didn’t pick be rest assured that he would call you back. I know him for that. And if you ask anybody that is what they will tell you about him.

Q: Like you rightly said, he has done well in his first term, what do you think differently when he assumes office for another term?

A: Luckily enough I’m part of the campaign team. And I’ve been following him to see all the people that matter as far as Ojokoro LCDA is concerned… Even the roads that are not within the local government area he has been liaising with the state government… both the Deputy Governor and the Governor on how they are going to assist… Not only that we have a school in Ward G here, it is a junior secondary school… anytime from it will be upgraded to a senior secondary school. He’s seriously working on that.
Also, a lot of roads within this LCDA have been penciled down for construction by the state government through his effort. He has done a lot and willing to do more.
