Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Win APC Presidential Ticket

The former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was declared winner of the contest by the chairman of the APC special convention committee, Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State at exactly 2:26 pm.

Asiwaju Tinubu, a national leader of the ruling APC, polled a total of 1271 votes to emerge the candidate of his party for the 2023 election.

The presidential primary election held at Eagles Square in Abuja.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan who were major contenders in the just concluded contest got 235, 316, and 152 votes respectively.
