ASR Africa’s Donation Of N250m Lecture Theatre To Adamawa Varsity Symbolises Foundation Of Hope – Ag VC
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Dr. Stephen Lagu has said the ASR Africa’s donation of 500 seat lecture theatre to the higher institution of learning symbolises hope for “public institutions that are in need of varieties of interventions”.

Dr. Lagu maintained this at the epoch event making the commencement of construction of the state-of-the-art lecture theatre along with four boreholes.
Delivering his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor said: “This groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes not just the physical construction of a 500 capacity lecture theatre along with 4 boreholes by Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative, but also the foundation of hope for our public institutions that are in need of varieties of interventions.”
The donation of the life enhancing project came to be after the Board of Directors of the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative approved the nomination of University as a recipient of the ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant Scheme (TEGS).

Appreciating the founder of ASR Africa Initiative, Abdul Samad Rabiu for the philanthropic gesture, Dr Lagu pointed out, the project on completion will definitely translate to reactivation of more academic activities in the institution that was once occupied by boko Haram terrorists.
His words: “The BUA Group of Companies generously embarked on these projects, recognizing the critical importance of bolstering Corporate Social Responsibility in our institution and other institutions across Nigeria and beyond. These projects if completed will no doubt translate to reactivation of more academic activities in Adamawa State University, which has been greatly affected by insurgent activities in 2014 and the only University that was ransacked and occupied by the Boko Haram terrorists.”
