Billionaire Deji Adeleke’s Role As Osun PDP Settles For Brother, Ademola Ahead 2022 Guber Election

There are indications the top echelon of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have settled for Senator Ademola Adeleke to fly its gubernatorial flag once again in Osun State.

Ademola Adeleke was the candidate of the opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship poll in the state.

The election held on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

He was trounced alongside Senator Iyiola Omisore of Social Democratic Party (SDP) by the incumbent governor and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

Another gubernatorial election in Osun State holds in 2022.

And feelers reaching highstreet.ng showed the PDP has once again endorsed the former senator to fly its flag.

The dancing Senator’s renewed ambition to govern Osun State currently enjoys the backing of the leaders of the party both at the state and national levels, multiple sources confided in highstreet.ng.

Checks also revealed his billionaire brother, Deji Adeleke’s financial strength as one of the reasons responsible for the early endorsement.

“They needed a candidate who has financial capacity and clout that can match APC’s spending…, and they know his billionaire brother (Deji Adeleke) has what it take…”, an insider explained.

“You will be thinking that it’s too to determine who the candidate would be, but that is the situation of things. The early endorsement is also to afford the party leadership enough time to prevail on members who may disagree, so they go into the election as a united party… Ademola Adeleke is the candidate except the unforeseen happens”, another source stated.
