Ijaw youths have just shut down telecommunication masts of telecoms giant Globacom in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
Globacom is largely regarded as the cash cow of foremost billionaire businessman Otunba Mike Adenuga.
A report monitored on the nationonline revealed this is not the first time such action would be taken against billionaire Adenuga’s business.
According to the report the youths maintained they took the action because the telecommunication company refused to sit on a roundtable with them to resolve some of their corporate issues affecting the state.
“The Chairman, IYC, Central Zone, Kennedy Olorogun, asked Glo network subscribers to port to other networks pending the willingness of the company’s managers to resolve the problems”, the nation reported.
