EFCC Grills Ex Kwara Gov Abdulfatah Ahmed
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is investigating the former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Available information revealed he is currently responding to questions by operatives of the anti-graft body over alleged diversion of public fund to the tune of N9 billion.
A report by thenationonlineng.net revealed Mr Ahmed arrived the EFCC headquarters in Jabi area of Abuja around 10am on Monday, May 17, to honour an invitation by the agency.
He’s said to be in the interrogation room of the commission responding to questions and writing statement.
The report further indicated the investigation has to do with financial activities during his two terms reign as governor and commissioner for finance in the preceding administration of former Senate President Bukoka Saraki.
Mr Abdulfatah Ahmed, who succeeded Bukola Saraki, ruled Kwara State between 2011 and 2019.
