Chinedum Orji has been elected the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly.

He emerged the 11th Speaker of the state Assembly today June 10, 2019.

Hon. Chinedun Orji, a second term lawmaker who represents the people of Umuahia Central Constituency in the state House of Assembly, is the son of former governor Theodore Orji.

Theodore Orji was the Governor of Abia State between 2007 to 2015.

The former governor also won a reelection to the senate for the second time.
