The Akerele family of Abeokuta, Ogun state currently lives in fear.
The dreaded Islamic group Yumba has wrecked their business, a shop.
Sources disclosed to highstreet.ng that people fingered as Yumba members attacked the Akerele’s Abeokuta shop yesterday – January 18, 2017 – at about 3 p.m.
The development is linked to earlier threats issued to the family of six for converting to Christianity.
Highstreet.ng learned that the Akereles (a father, mother and four children)converted from Islam to Christianity not too long ago.
But the intolerant Yumba group would have none of that, with threats of violence employed to force the family to abandon their new faith.
Modinat Omotunde Akerele, the wife confirmed that the destruction of their shop was the “threats carried out”.
The embattled mother of four disclosed to Highstreet.ng that the family is still at sea on how to handle the situation and that her husband is going around the homes of friends and associates seeking help.
Modinat, however, insists that abandoning Christianity is not an option, especially with the destruction of their shop.
