Fayose Throws Weight Behind Governor Akeredolu Ahead Ondo Guber Election

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has thrown his weight behind governor Rotimi Akeredolu ahead of the Saturday, October 10, 2020 governorship election in Ondo State.

Incumbent governor Akeredolu is the candidate of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The older Fayose is a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Isaac Fayose revealed incumbent governor Akeredolu as his choice in a Facebook post on Thursday, October 8, 2020.

“60 hours to go… 😡😡😡😡😡😡 Gov Akeredolu 4+4= 8”, the younger Fayose had posted with pictures of the three major candidates – Rotimi Akeredolu, Eyitayo Jegede and Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party ZLP.

Ajayi, a former member of APC, is the deputy governor of Ondo State.

His post came hours after his brother -former governor Fayose – was attacked at the final rally of Eyitayo Jegede, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.

There are indications Isaac Fayose would hardly make such move without express approval of his brother who is a top shot of the opposition party.
