Former Borno Gov Shettima Is Asiwaju Tinubu’s Running Mate

Former governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima has emerged the running mate of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Asiwaju Tinubu announced Shettima, who currently represents Borno Central in the national assembly, as his choice on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

He made the announcement in Katsina after paying Sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Shettima, 55, who played a notable role in in the arrangement that earned Asiwaju Tinubu the ruling party’s presidential ticket, ruled Borno State from 2011 to 2019.
