GTCO’s Habari Pay Launches Squad Hackademy Programme For Undergraduates

In line with its mission of empowering businesses and young innovators across Africa, HabariPay’s Squad launched its first ever Squad Hackademy Programme on September 13th. The hybrid internship programme is the second phase of its first-ever hackathon, “Take on Squad Hackathon 1.0.” which was held on the 19th and 20th of January 2024, at the state-of-the-art GTCO Training Complex, Tayo’s Plaza, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

In this cycle of the Squad Hackademy Programme, six of the best performing students from the Take on Squad Hackathon 1.0 will have their tuition paid until they graduate as they get hands-on learning experience working in one of Nigeria’s leading Fintech companies. Participants in this programme will work on real-life scenarios during SIWES and University holidays.

Commenting on the inaugural Squad Hackademy programme, Eduofon Japhet, Managing Director of HabariPay Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be delivering on the next phase of our Hackathon programme. The Squad Hackademy is the first of many initiatives to offer young, enterprising students a platform to engage meaningfully with technology and showcase their creativity and problem-solving abilities while helping them with their tuition fees along the way.”
