Inside What Elumelu Is Giving Back The Continent Of Africa As He Turns 61

Renowned philanthropist and African business leader, Tony Elumelu turned 61 today.

And the chairman of Nigerian conglomerates – United Bank of Africa, Heirs Holdings, Transnational Corporation (Transcorp Group) and more – born on March 22, 1962, has chosen to celebrate in a unique way.

According to posts across his social media handles, he has decided to celebrate his 61 birthday with announcement of the 2024 beneficiaries of The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programmme.

This year Entrepreneurship Programme will see over 1000 young entrepreneurs receiving a non refundable seed capital of $5,000 to help start their own businesses, available information revealed.

On the occasion apparently giving him a great joy, the extraordinary businessman who is unrelenting in his effort to make the continent of Africa a better place wrote….

+1 today and no better way to celebrate than announcing the 2024 beneficiaries of The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programmme.

Over 1,000 young men and women from all 54 African countries who will each receive a non refundable seed capital of $5,000 to help start their own businesses.

This journey began 10 years ago by Awele and I , with a vision to democratize luck and transform lives across Africa .

So, today is about Impact, Reflection, and Gratitude.
