Mutual Benefits Boss Akin Ogunbiyi Tells Why He won’t Be Part Of Tomorrow’s PDP Guber Primary

Akin Ogunbiyi, an aspirant for the gubernatorial ticket of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Osun State, has said he won’t take part in the opposition party’s governorship primary.

The primary election holds tomorrow, March 8, 2022.

Ogunbiyi, who is the Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance, intimated his followers of his decision to withdraw from the exercise today at his Idera De Campaign Office, Osogbo, the state capital.

Mr Ogunbiyi said his resolve became necessary following what he described as basis on the part of the leadership of PDP, especially the national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

He said, “It is a very difficult decision for me because of the amount of investment and the hope that my personality and leadership would have given to Osun State. “But when you have an umpire who is biased to the extent of planning with the other group, what can you do?

Mr. Ogunbiyi, who outrightly accused Senator Ayu of working for emergence of Ademola Adeleke, insisted he has already been told not to waste his resources.

“Senator Ayu has agreed to work with Ademola Adeleke and I’m being told that I shouldn’t waste my money and we did everything possible. I can only come to the conclusion to withdraw from the race because up till this moment, they are there planning on how they can execute.”, the insurance top shot stated.
